I made these because the grips on the my bike were a bit too long for the handlebar. The plugs that come with the grips are designed to fit into the inside of the 22mm handlebar, so they fit into a 16mm hole. These plugs are designed to fit into a 22 mm hole and use a screw to tighten the plugs so they stay put. a pretty unusual situations, but these solved it for me.
