Bike Headset Cap Water Bottle Cage Mount

An alternate way to mount a water bottle cage on a bike UPDATE: The original design cracked after some use, so I designed a beefier version. I recommend you try that one instead. BikeHeadsetCageMountV2R2.stl --- My wife's mountain bike frame didn't come from the factory with any water bottle cage threaded bosses, and all of the other likely locations for mounting a cage wouldn't work for various reasons. So I made this mount that replaces the headset cap. Important: This HAS been installed on a bike and ridden around a little bit. It seems like it might work OK, but it has NOT been rigorously tested. Therefore, I can't speak to how well it will hold up. If you make one and it breaks (or doesn't), please leave a comment. The bottle cage mounting holes are not threaded. I let the standard 5mm mounting bolts self tap into it, and it seems to be holding really well for now. If the bolts don't stay tight, back it with a nut and put a little locktite on the threads.
