Bike Stands cost too much IMHO. I decided to make a cheaper one. I started by buying a used Work light Stand for $20. Then I bought a Harbor Freight Pipe clamp, and 2 short pieces of pipe and a 90deg female coupler which dropped right into the Light Stand. Then I designed the covers to hold the frame or seatpost or whatever on a bike. They snapped right on and stay great. I also put some rubber on them to cushion the frame when holding carbon bikes or protecting the paint.
