Bikepacking Nalgene Holder

Strap a Nalgene to your bike!
I've been bikepacking several times, and the biggest problem I've encountered is how to carry enough water to make it through the day. This nalgene holder, in tandem with zip ties or [15" Voile Straps](https://www.voile.com/voile-straps-15-inch-aluminum-buckle.html), lets you strap a 1L or 1.5L Nalgene style bottle to any tube on your bike. Both will work fine, but the strap version is easier to remove on the fly. I recommend adding some rubbery foam between the part and your bike to protect paint and prevent slipping. See the photo for an example and [link.](https://www.amazon.com/Adhesive-Padding-Weather-Stripping-Thickness/dp/B06ZY83SZJ/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1543789487&sr=8-6&keywords=neoprene%2Bfoam%2Badhesive&th=1) Depending on your wheel size and frame size, you may only be able to fit a 1L Nalgene. You may also lose a bit of front suspension travel, though nalgenes seem to be pretty tire-rub resistant. Set your fork into lockout or pump up the pressure to minimize the chance of impact. I recommend an impact resistant material like PETG or ABS. PLA would be fine for light duty, but if you're biking somewhere bumpy, you'll want something tough. I've taken this design (in various forms) on two bikepacking trips (one in Canyonlands NP and one in the Superstition mtns outside of Phoenix), and it worked great. Check out the photos.
