The birds in my back yard are picky. They will eat only black sunflower seeds; so, I bought a commercial feeder (pictured on the left,green). It worked fine, but I was filling it every day! I decided it was time for an ENLARGED version. It also works great. Yes, that is bird poop on the top of it. One filling lasts for 10 days. Instructions Print two caps and one funnel. Get some 1/4" (6mm) hardware cloth and roll it into a 3 5/16" (85mm) tube. Stick the caps on each end and attach the sides (I soldered mine). Perches aren't required, but if you want some, just stick them through the sides and attach with wheel collars. I bent a hanger from 3/16" steel rod and attached it to the hardware cloth, allowing space to remove the cap. I painted everything with black spray enamel. The funnel and caps are sized for a 3 5/16" (85mm) tube of hardware cloth. Mine is 24" tall, a standard size for hardware cloth in the United States.
