A bird plucker/cleaner upper you mount on a drill. You'll need small rubber plucking fingers. I bought mine from the Ukraine, who knew ? The plucker takes 18 and they come in packs of 20 :-)http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/20-pcs-pack-poultry-plucking-fingers-for-small-birds-small-poultry-/201114459605?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2ed35b1dd5] We found that while you can use this to totally pluck a bird. It's easier to do the quick big stuff by hand and then use the plucker to clean up the bird and get rid of the hard to remove down. That and when we used it on a fully plumed bird it apparently looked like we were standing in the midst of a large snowstorm :-) I also made a model that used the big 10cm plucking fingers. We found it actually went through the skin and started to remove the flesh. So that's not really useful. If anyone wants the file for that let me know. I won't upload it otherwise as it's just bloody dangerous :-) 17/08/2016 Added heavy duty model. made the base 4mm thicker, made the inside washer slightly larger and added reinforcement at the corners. Instructions print at 0.2 to get decent circles. 40% infill on up, works fine with 2-3 shells. I use pla - so if you use abs you might want to enlarge the model by 1% before printing. You don't want the holes any smaller or you'll struggle to get the fingers locked in. You'll need a 6mm bolt with either a locking nut or 2 nuts. I used a square nut and a wing nut - as these were what I had to hand. Any length bolt from 50mm upwards will do. Assembly is pretty easy. Screw the bolt through the hole in the base and secure with the nuts. You can screw them up as tight as you like. I put a pad there to take the pressure. Then fit the fingers starting from the bottom and working up. There should fit fairly tightly. Then attach to drill and away you go. Oh yeah - make sure you use the drill in an anti-clockwise direction. Otherwise it unscrews itself. Not sure how you attach youtube link to gallery - so here's a link to us cleaning up a wild shot duck with the plucker.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJq_4QiewWw (hey what do you know, it attaches itself to the gallery, that's neat :-)
