<p>I have a steady supply of empty unrefillable gas canisters (2.2 liters) and was looking for something to do with them other than just throwing them away (they can not be refilled).</p><p>So I created a set of “Bird Bunkers” (because of the steel shell that is used for the main housing).</p><p>I painted the bottles (steel shell) in some funky colors and thought of a roof that would go well with the bottle.</p><p>This one turned into a “bed and breakfast” for the birds … or the insects (or both).</p><p>It is a very long print set, but I hope it is worth the effort. When printing the bottle as well, you can leave out one tear of the insect hotel (or the head won't fit for the wings).</p><p>Everything should print without supports.</p><p>I was still printing this one while putting it up so the photo's of the print will come later.</p><p>Edit: I was printing and found the parts to be quite heavy … So I made a bolt that would be a bit stronger. I added a holding bolt that would require a metal bolt that is long enough and no wider than a M10 (I use a M8 or a M6) and would then hold the stinger.</p><p>Later Edit: The whole thing is finished printing now and … it looks great (if I do say so myself ;-) )… photos added.</p>
