As Creator of Learning and Discovery Experiences at the Westport Library MakerSpace, this project fell under my six week purview. I joined staff and patrons to design and craft cardboard costumes in the shape of chess pieces, which we proudly donned. With Autodesk 123D Catch, participants were captured with meticulous detail, their silhouettes translated into precise meshes that were skillfully edited using Meshmixer. Netfabb played a crucial role in repairing any discrepancies, yielding seamless results. Next, each model was uploaded into Tinkercad, where it seamlessly integrated with the base design. Further details can be found here: http://monograph.io/joshburker/community-chess-set https://www.flickr.com/photos/senorwences/albums/72157658496957881 **Library Component Fabrication Instructions** To produce copies for the library, we employed a MakerBot Replicator in ABS at 0.3mm resolution and 10% infill. This ensured precise details were retained in each replica, faithful to the original models.
