Convert your Black and Decker 18v battery to a 21v li-ion battery pack. Mine came from an older Grass Hog. Era 2008. I used 2 rows X 5 2900mah 3.9A li-ion batteries from old laptop power supplies. My Grass hog is rated at 6.5A and the revised PS will be 21v @ 7.8A (14A surge). Make sure your batteries have enough amps. Most weed eaters are between 5.5a to 8a. A 5S BMS is installed on the battery pack so you can charge the pack with 24v 1 amp. There are two rows of batteries in parallel so 3.9A per row = 7.8A. If you are not familiar with li-ion batteries you may need a friend with knowledge to help you. Different batteries have different ratings so look up the specs for the batteries you will be using. The screw posts have been relocated to open up for the li-ion battery pack. You will have to drill two 3mm holes in the top cover using the top case hole template. Then you will need to use the side edge of a 8mm drill bit to open an area in the top cover slide track to allow the screws to be inserted and tightened. Be very careful with the batteries as they are very powerful and can arc when shorted and possibly catch on fire. Not recommended if you don't have electrical skills or any knowledge of li-ion batteries. 5S BMS https://www.ebay.com/itm/185460579993
