Black Widow Spider for Halloween

Black Widow Spider for Halloween

thingiverse

This 3D printed flexible Black Widow spider is printed from Black and Red NinjaFlex. The flexible legs dangle and wiggle when lowered from a string. There are two holes, where red LEDs can be inserted in from the bottom. The red LED's cause the translucent red NinjaFlex to glow with an eerie look. Printed at this scale, it is 10cm across the legs The 2 red LEDs are wired in series and are connected directly to a 3.7 LiPo battery. So far almost 48 hrs from a single 18650 battery. Note: If you print with the NinjaFlex directly on clean glass, the spiders will stick directly on a window, similar to those vinyl reusable stickers. The NinjaFlex filament is available here: http://www.fennerdrives.com/3D Instructions I used the following settings in my Mendel 90: Material: NinjaFlex Flexible TPE Urethane Color: Black, Red Extruder temperature: 215C Bed temperature: OFF Fan speed: OFF Layer height: 0.20mm Solid top layers: 2 Solid bottom layers: 2 Perimeters: 2 Percent infill: 50 Infill pattern: honeycomb Infill pattern angle: 120deg Brim: Off Support: Off Retraction: 4mm Lift: Off It's best to print this at 100% scale, as the legs need to be two layers thick to get the right flexibility.
