Blackboard POE: Point Of Entry

My design entry for the Blackboard Open Sesame Challenge. Circular Door Access Design with NFC Contactless technology at it's center with an illuminated led touch pad around it's edge. The led touch pad can illuminate in 4 different colors, each is color is represented by an action: cyan is power, green is access granted, red is access denied and white is the number pad function. There is no magnetic strip implemented in the design as the technology is outdated, if students have lost their card or if they don't have their phone on them, students can access the building by pressing POE's central button, this activates the keypad mode allowing the student to enter the four digit number required to enter the building. Within the design there is no 'enter' or 'clear' button as it is not required, the device will grant the student access upon entering the code correctly. If the student knows the correct pin but accidentally presses the wrong key in the process the devices will time out that entry after a few seconds if the student doesn't continue entering any more digits, the device will flash red to signal to the student their access has been denied. The student is then free to enter the code again.
