Blackboard Transact Challenge This device has been designed with one thing in mind, to change completely the way card readers look, feel an are perceived. A different approach has been used in order to obtain a different result. The reader has a unique and elegant look that will make it unmistakeably a blackboard device, and cause people to recognize it when they see it and appreciate and enjoy using it. It features coloured rubber bumpers to make it splash and shockproof as well as very comfortable to hold and reduces stress to the internal components caused by continuous card swiping. The colours intention are to institutionalize the device, matching a company's or customer's image. The device has two buttons for different functions and a bottom micro USB connector. The on/off/pair switch on top, easily reachable by the index finger. it pairs the device with another via Bluetooth by pressing the button for five seconds. By the left thumb, the battery button is found which will activate the front facing 4 LED feedback and at the centre a light stripe hooked to a multi colour LED that will blink blue when pairing, green when a transaction is accepted, and red when it is not. It accepts both NFC and Magstripe transactions. The base allows for easy mounting and multiple positions, and can attach the device to a wall, it has a hole for cable routing when the device is plugged in and the assembly is very simple and straightforward. It is ruled by a PCB with room in the middle for a battery, this way the latter can be positioned in the centre of the device and reduce its footprint to a minimum. Thank you all.
