DESCRIPTION This model has been designed according a modular concept to respond the four points required from the enunciation of this challenge. Rather than have various modules side by side I preferred use the concept of "layer" common to all languages of CAD and graphics programs. LAYER ONE - Is the POS reading unit which can have with a minimum variant the keypad for PIN confirmation or the contactless RFid reading. It is also equipped with mag stripe reader. Is equipped also with the necessary communication interfaces which can be physical or wireless. A lateral USB port connect the POS to the main unit when it is removed from it, or a micro USB allows communication when the POS is directly supported by the main unit. There is also a SIM card reader. The energy is supplied by a rechargeable battery when it is disconnected or is powered by micro USB port when mounted on the main unit. LAYER TWO - is the the thermal paper printer. To work it must be connected to the POS unit residing both on the main unit or detached. LAYER THREE - The main unit is equipped with the communication ports, RJ45 and two USB and DC power supply. It also supports a 10" touch screen monitor which can rotate about itself through 180 ° to turn towards the customer. With a little variation can be grafted a support for two specular monitors. On the screen is built in the camera and in the base there are microphones speaker. LAYER FOUR - The main unit can be mounted on a cash drawer. Since the main unit is a small object compared to the size of the cash drawer I preferred to give importance by mounting it on a rising support. To ensure the stability of the support I provided adaptable brackets to mate dimensions of tens of cash drawer existing on the market. Note that he unit and the base POS printer share the same fixing modes for which can be attached to the main base independently of one another The four layers can be combined to meet the demands of the various conditions of use. Condition 1 - POS. Is the condition which requires an intense use of all four layers, so in this case it would be better to use the dual mirror monitor and allow the reading of credit cards by means of the POS complete of thermal printer both detached from the main base but connected with a USB cable to ensure the data security so the cashier can monitor the operation but not directly manipulate the customer's card. Condition 2 – Event or Activity (Validation). In this case it can be used the base unit Layer 3 resting on the desk or mounted on the wall, complete with POS Layer 1 without the printer Layer 2 or employng an RFid contactless contained in the main base. Conditions 3 and 4 Copy machine and laundry machine. For these conditions you may be used the four layers with the variant of using only one monitor in two rotary positions or the dual monitor. Possible improvements: Adding and integration in the main support of the battery charging module. A further improvement would be to optimize the size depending on the true size of the PCBs
