BlackOpal UL6 Split Version
thingiverse
I remixed the BlackOpal as a frame with single arms, as I could not fit the whole frame onto my CNC machine. Another nice bonus is that you can just use smaller single pieces to reduce the size of basematerial needed. This is still not a crash resistant frame but if you should break an arm you can now replace it. As with the original if you want to use M3 or larger screws to mount your electronics you need to increase the holes from 2mm to 3mm and the holes in the arms to about 6mm to fit the larger screwheads. In theory this should be about 4g more weight than the original (measured in CAD) The missing files for the vinyl skin can be taken from BlackOpal's original design. To make this frame youself you need 4mm and 1.5mm CFK plates. I included an optional middlepiece to fit in the space between the arms. This should give them a bit more impact stability.
