Here is all you need to recreate the famous TARDIS entrance from the original BLACKPOOL DOCTOR WHO EXHIBITION circa 1982. Download the stl files to create a construction set of parts as seen in the photos. Please note that the photo of the kit parts also shows the best orientation for printing. So for example the BLKP_FRAME file should be printed as shown, upside down. This way the lower battoning (BLKP_BATTONING) can be added accurately afterwards and means the large BLKP_FRAME print can be printed without fear of problems of overhangs and support structures. It would be advisable to print this frame with some support for the window cutouts and this can be set to "Everywhere" if you are using CURA or set to the equivalent where support can be printed on the model itself. They are not seen from the outside but give access to remove windows for painting if required. You'll also need 2 x 2mm brass rod of 167mm in length to make the hinges for the doors. Or if you are building half-scale then the equivalent in 1mm. The doors are made by sandwiching the two sides together and fitting the rod between them. There is a groove that will become obvious for this. Windows and front and side signs can be printed in white or painted prior to fitting. You may need to sand these a little to get a good fit especially if you paint the model as I did. I've included gifs of the two signs and a stencil for the TARDIS lettering. Finishing the model:- The quality of the finished model is up to you. I took some time and sanded/filled and painted mine. The colour used is Rover Pageant Mid Blue. PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A DETAILED MODEL AND A LARGE PRINT. SOME ASSEMBLY AND GLUEING IS REQUIRED. It is easy to convert to half-scale and a very quick and successful kit can be produced if wished.
