Lately I’ve been attracted to the idea of producing games and, because of that, I decided to try making some assets. I’ve chosen to start with the low poly hand-painted technique because it is a style that I really like. Since it was my first time doing this kind of work, I preferred to use just Blender and Photoshop, besides learning how to use Substance Painter, and it was a really fun experience . I had to remake some things over the process, mostly because I didn’t know how to do it before mostly because I was unfamiliar with the tool, but I was pleased with the results. For this piece I chose a concept from a 2D artist that I really like, Haejoo, and used some Grant Abbitt’s tutorials to learn how to use the Texture Paint tools in Blender.
