Blade of the Faith (Dragon Age: Inquisition Sword)

This sword is based on the first sword wielded by Cassandra Pentaghast in Dragon Age: Inquisition, emblazoned the Inquisiton's symbol. The finished sword, full size, is 90 cm long (which is a good length to hang from a belt if you're about my height, 170cm) but can be made longer or shorter by printing a different number of blade sections. The blade is intentionally a little overly thick due to Dutch law about walking around in public with fake weapons that could be at all mistaken for real. You're welcome to modify it and thin it to your liking (as long as you're not planning on being in public with it in the Netherlands). Print one copy of each section, except 4 - you'll need to print 3 of these. The only section that will need support is the crosspiece (3). The sections are glued together with superglue, which works pretty well with flat sections in PLA. The center has a cutout into which I glued a dowel, to help with stability. To finish, sand and prime until you cry, and then sand and prime some more, and when you've finally lost your will to live, paint it and wrap the handle in leather. Because of the sanding required, there's some parts that come to a slightly sharper edge along the vertical symmetry than intended, but I didn't bother correcting as you'd be sanding it anyway.
