Updated. Now More Functional! a simple blinking eye mechanism that prints in one piece. I made this to compliment my cyclops makeup / mask This could also be used for a puppet or costume wear. Add stiff wire to the small tubes and move them from behind. or put a cable to one of the tubes and attach the wire to the other. stiff wire and servos would work too. watch this youtube video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qv_yO_nstFY&feature=youtu.be Instructions Print in pla solid (50% or greater fill) break apart joints. Tie mono-filament around end of each lever. run mono-filament through a light compression spring as in from a ball point pen run string through tube on side of eyeball. mount eyeball to surface. Not too tight, there is some slosh in the joint. pull the string to blink the eye. A bicycle cable would work too.
