Meo (me) to the annual COLLAB contest held by the philadelphia museum of art, is a 2 layered iris mechanism that is meant to “reveal” high value items, essentially like an ornate gift box. It achieves this reveal effect by “blooming” and “budding” like a flower, depending on how you rotate the secondary petal.</p><p><br> </p><p><strong>This is my OC, DO NOT STEAL</strong></p><p><br><br> </p><p> This is my oc, DO NOT STEAL. I'm all for renditions, I learned by working off other peoples models, but this device took me way too long to figure out and I'm not comfortable with anyone else claiming ownership. And if you are interested in selling my design or anything based on it, contact me. </p><p><br><br> </p><p><strong>Printing/Materials</strong></p><p><br> </p><p>Difficulty: Moderate</p><p><br> </p><p>Filament: PETG and PLA both print fine, HTPLA is best for durability</p><p><br> </p><p>Time: varies depending on size, but the large is around 16 hours</p><p><br> </p><p>Print settings: Make sure you have supports and at least 1.6 wall thickness. Higher layer heights help with strength, I printed at .32</p><p><br> </p><p>Screws: You need 10 A screws and 5 B screws, referenced in the chart.
