I wanted to install my BLTouch sensor so it aligned with at least one axis of my extruder, so in front of the fan I placed it. It doesn't affect the cooling of my hot end that much, as far as I've tested printing PLA at around 210 degrees Celsius. It's modified to fit a 40mm fan, using just two bolts. I mounted it on the top two bolts, but I think it could work upside down if you really need to, although the z height difference would be problematic. The height is calibrated for my E3D V5 clone hotend, you might need to insert some washers for a V6.
