Blue Yeti Pop Filter

Blue Yeti Pop Filter

cults3d

This is a DIY pop filter for your Blue Yeti in either 4" or 6" sizes. It starts with a mounting ring that wraps around your microphone body. It's designed so that the mount wraps around between the volume/pattern knobs for the 4" filter or around the lower part of the microphone for the 6" filter (although you won't be able to use the standard Yeti mic stand). A locking ring holds the material in place. I'm using silk-screen cloth however I've heard that pantyhose nylon and lanai screen also work well. The mount and rings attach via Go Pro compatible mounts so you can use Go Pro arms and elbows to reposition the filter or use the 6" filter with an upper mount placement. You will need an m2 screw and nut to secure the mount, a longer m2 screw and nut (>=25mm) to secure the material locking ring, and a Go Pro style bolt and m5 cap nut to attach the ring to the mount.
