Bluetooth iPod/iPhone Remote

I'm quite happy listening to my phone on the bike but what annoys me is having to get it out of my pocket to change track or change the volume. The remotes built in to headphones are just too fiddly to use on the move. What I would really like is a simple remote on the handlebars connected to the device by Bluetooth. It would just have buttons for changing tracks and volume plus maybe mute by pressing all the buttons at the same time. The third version of this 'Bluetooth Remote 3.jpg' is intended to use capacitive touch sensors instead of buttons. This could make the device much closer to the look and feel of the original Velodroom light. It would use four sensors, sensitive enough to be used while wearing gloves and use gesture control instead of discrete button pushes. Swipe up to increase volume for example. This would improve the ergonomics of controlling the device while the bike is moving and would not require the user to even look at the device. Additionally, this would be lower cost to manufacture as it has no moving parts and simpler injection moldings. I've looked for something like this - but there is nothing simple and certainly nothing designed for a bike! I envisage it just clipping on to the handlebar. When you stop, you can just un-clip it & stow it in your pocket. I'd buy this! Pros: Ergonomic design - can be used while moving No external wires Improves safety if listening to music while moving Touch version has no moving parts and is easy to waterproof Maintains Brand Styling Cons: Battery Powered - needs recharging Only compatible with certain music players
