Bluetooth Remote Mount for MINI Countryman Cooper Rail System

<p>I wanted a way to listen to music via bluetooth in my MINI Countryman and a way to control it with physical buttons so I don't have to look at my phone while driving. I came up with a way to mount a cheap bluetooth remote above a bluetooth adapter directly behind the gear shift. It sandwiches together on the rails with magnets and the remote just sits in the cutout. I <i>think </i>this will fit with automatic transmissions, but I can't really get any good pics of the shifter trim for autos.</p><p>The one with the cutout has an extra clearance of 1.7mm - I needed this to make it print vertically and still fit the remote.</p><p>I included a BYOH (bring your own hole) version of the top part. Just mod this in your favorite CAD software for a cutout to fit your bluetooth remote. X is the only dimension with strict sizes for the remote. It must be between 32 and 56mm. The Y dimension should be 0-40mm, or you can stretch it out. If you just scale the Y then it won't hug the shifter trim tightly, though. Z can only be 8.6mm deep, but it can sit above the top of the printed part with no problem.</p><p>Print the parts vertically with a .1ish layer height to get a good finish on visible side. I used PETG.
