After dropping the original nut into oblivion while working on my E46, I decided to design and print one rather than driving to the dealer. On the E46 convertible, this is the nut that holds in the wind deflector mount. According to RealOEM, it's used on other BMW models as well and I've tagged those as appropriate. I believe it's used elsewhere as part of the headlamp washer assembly. The BMW part is an M16x1.5mm nut that fits a 19mm wrench (a standard M16 nut fits a 21mm wrench). After struggling to come up with a design using M16x1.5mm threads that would actually fit, I designed this with **M17x1.5** threads instead to provide a somewhat loose fit that snugs up when tight. A drop of super glue once assembled should prevent it from backing off.
