This is a replica of the 12 pole IPM rotor topology of the electric drive of the BMW i3. It was designed by available geometric data and sketches found on the BMW patent published by Jörg Merwerth in October 2013 (US20120267977A1). Subject matter of the patent was the double layered magnet layout which helps to increase torque yield. This motor was the first electric drive designed by BMW. The STL can be resized as needed to adjust print time. I printed with a 70% scale. To save print time the rotor length was shortened to 1cm.
