Board Camera Housing & Servo Tilt Mount

Housing for 38 mm sq. board cam & servo tilt mount for FPV applications. The board cam mounts I was previously using all had the cam just exposed. While this made for a light mount, it did not do a good job of protecting the cam (I've lost a few cams due to crashes). This mount protects the board and lens, and provides a bit more of an aerodynamic profile to the board. This mount consists of 4 pieces - the cam body, cam front, tilt servo mount, and the pan base. The latter provides clearance for mounting screws on a pan servo arm - this can be left out if you don't need a pan servo (for a quadcopter or similar). UPDATE 1/14/14: Updated the servo support file to thicken the servo supports. I've had these break numerous times in hard landings. Instructions This mount was made for an R/C FPV camera application, around a 38 mm square board camera. Insert the board cam into the back of the cam body with the lens facing out the front (notice the screw supports are flush with the front of the body). Use 12 mm #2 screws through the back of the cam board, through the body, and into the front housing. You may have to ream out the screw holes in the body to allow the screws to easily pass through. The tilt servo mount is based around a Hitec HS-55 servo. Use M2 bolts and nuts to secure the servo, and mount the servo's arm to the cam housing servo arm (the side with the large centering hole). Use a M3x12mm bolt and locknut on the other arm of the housing to secure it to the tilt mount. The tilt mount has a hex cutout to aid in locknut retention. Don't tighten this side too much, as it needs to be able to move freely. You may want to use a washer to reduce binding. If you just need tilt capability, then you can just mount the tilt base directly to your desired surface. For mounting on a pan servo, mount the pan servo's arm to the bottom of the pan servo base, and then mount the servo arm to the pan servo. Insert the tab of the tilt base into the slot of the pan base, and then use a #2 x 10mm screw to secure the back of the tilt base down to the pan base.
