A replacement for the obsolete and unobtianable Bogen Manfrotto 329PL-14 quick release plate used in the Bogen 329 and Bogen 3411 tripod heads. Parametric adjustments, as the plastic is not as strong as the original cast aluminum the design benefits by only removing as much material as needed. Thus several versions depending on type of screw used either thumbscrew, pan head, or cap head screw, a 1/4" washer is suggested for all uses When printed in PLA the strength is adequate for smaller to mid-sized cameras, DSLR's and mirrorless except for the heaviest of lenses The strength can be improved through printing in a higher modulus material such as a carbon fiber reinforced plastic the thumbscrew version has a smaller hole (0.2" or 5mm) this can be threaded with a 1/4"-20 tap. When used with a thumbscrew scrapped from one of the cheap and readily avalable quick release plates the screw becomes captive when threaded through the pan head and cap screw versions are designed to use a 1/2" screw, thus the body of the plate becomes thicker to allow 5mm of screw protruding, the original Bogen plate is 11mm thick Any of this can be adjusted, the OpenSCAD source is included
