Info about changing the probe points in firmware can now be found on the INSTRUCTIONS page! For some reason, no matter what plane I start the origin sketch on in Solidworks, it ends up in the wrong orientation. Sorry about that. I saw the design on here for a clip-on heat bed mount, but I would much prefer a hard-mounted solution, so I made these. You will require 2 of each part. This requires the Printrbot 6" aluminum bed parthttp://printrbot.com/shop/printrbot-aluminum-6x6-build-platform/ I ended up constructing a heated bed for only $76 , compared to the $110+ of the Printrbot pre-made bed kit. Using a Printrbot Thermistor (don't want to get that wrong!), and this heated bedhttp://www.ebay.com/itm/6-X-6-Heatbed-PCB-Heated-Bed-for-3D-Printing-/251131700535?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a789da537 Instructions So a firmware change is required to use these feet, and this bed. Here is information about how to change and re-flash your printer's firmware. I did it today, it was super easy.https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/68081994/printrbot/Printrbot%20Firmware.pdf This tutorial is good for understanding the re-compile of firmware. Here is a Printrbot guide that is very good for actually re-flashing the firmware. I used info from both tutorials, and it went smoothly.http://help.printrbot.com/Guide/How+to+Reflash+Firmware/78 Download the "Rev-F version 1" source file .zip from here (Or the Simple Metal source .zip that is the next entry down the page if you don't have a rev-F printrboard)https://github.com/Printrbot/Marlin/releases/ Now, change lines 329 and 331 in configuration.h to 329: #define RIGHT_PROBE_BED_POSITION X_MAX_LENGTH-17 331: #define FRONT_PROBE_BED_POSITION 1 This will re-position the auto-level probe points to fall on the smaller bed. When you recompile your code using the Arduino IDE linked in the first tutorial, HOLD SHIFT when you click "verify/compile" to enable verbose output to get the file path of the .hex file. The tutorial mentions a checkbox in the preferences pane, but there is none. Continue on and flash the new .hex file onto your printrboard using Atmel Flip. Everything should now work!
