Bolt ring mount to goPro adapter

I found a nice Raspberry Pi Camera Housing. It had four holes arranged in a rectangle that could be used for bolts to mount the cover. I needed a stand to bolt the camera case to. I came up with the following: * A mounting ring that you can bolt something to at one end and has a 2 prong goPro compatible adapter at the other end. * An optional ring base that can be bolted down and has the 3 prong goPro compatible adapter at the other end. * Both mounting rings allow multiple copies of the mounting holes to be "spun" allowing the device to be rotated when mounted. ## Customizing You can customize several aspects of this mount: * You can specify the width and height that your 4 mounting holes should be placed on the ring. * You can specify the length of a vertical extension from the goPro adapter to the bottom of your mounting ring. * You can specify the diameter of the holes to accommodate your mounting hardware (I use 3 mm for M2.5 bolts). * You can specify how many rotated positions you want mounting holes placed at. This allows you to rotate your mounted device and/or base to different positions without needing to drill additional holes. * If you already have a goPro base, you only need to print the one part. ## Photo Example The example photo shows the base plate bolted down to a Raspberry Pi case and the extension plate used to mount a Raspberry Pi camera. * The base plate can be rotated around the z-axis by removing the bolts, rotating and bolting back down. * The camera case can be rotated around the x-axis at 45 degree intervals by removing the the four mounting bolts, rotating the camera case and then plugging it back in. ## Required Hardware * You will want an 20 mm (or longer) M5 bolt and M5 nut for the 3 prong goPro base. * You can use any hardware for mounting either the base down or the device to the ring. However, you will need to customize the hole to match your hardware (on my Prusa i3 MK3, I specify a hole size of 3.0 mm for a 2.5 mm M2.5 bolt - so make sure you allow some clearance). ## References I'd like to offer my thanks to DMCShep for providing the Basic GoPro Mount - OpenSCAD building blocks that I made use of in this creation.
