The finishing touch to complete that Ar15 7.62x39 build with a Bolt lower. So you've got a PSA side chargine upper, a lower with no bolt release, and a crazy RIS? You've basically just made an Ar into an AK, but you want to ditch the A2 grip? This is the answer. This adapter will replace the grip tang on a bolt together ar15 lower reciever, and allow an Ak grip to be installed instead. The only modification required from standard installation is that your safety detent spring needs to be shortened or replaced, as the AK grip does not have a space for the other end. Since it can not use an AK's grip screw or reciver tang, new hardware is required. I made the extension for a 1/4 - 3in machine screw and nut, available at Harbor Freight, but any 3inch long bolt will work, and there is also runout space behind it to allow for a 3 1/2 inch long bolt to be used. Simply glue the nut in place, or shim it, to prevent rotation, or you might never get it back off.
