Intro I wanted to re-use my Creality all metal dual gear extruder in a better designed body like a Bondtech style extruder. Remix details Enlarged the filament path to ~2.4mm Cleaned up constraint path Enlarged holes to 3.6mm to account for PETG shrinkage Enlarged tolerance of locating pins due to PETG shrikage Cut section out of the top plate, to allow lever to move with the Creality bolt Slightly enlarged hole where PTFE is located to ensure it bumps up easily Designed a self locking knob Why do this? I was pretty disappointing with the Creality all metal dual gear drive extruder. Mine was of very poor quality. I mean it looks nice, but suffers some serious design flaws. The grub screw was way to long, meaning it wouldn't even rotate. The sprint was way to hard, and crushed the gears against each other, that it basically destroyed itself. Not a great experience. However on my other printer I have a genuine Bondtech extruder, and that works flawlessly. Unfortunately, it's quite expensive, so I chose to try and modify a design to make use of the parts from the Creality Extruder, in a Bondtech clamping style.
