BoneWorks Cap for Quest 2

BoneWorks Cap for Quest 2

I saw Tighskin's mount design for the original Quest on a SteveKnows video and thought it was pretty cool. Steve shows it on a Quest 2 so I tried printing it. Unfortunately the fit was very loose and didn't feel secure. I really didn't want to alter the design and reprint the whole thing and I set about creating an adapter. In my original design, I tried to accommodate the small triangular supports in the mount. But it impinged into the area of the Quest 2's arms and I felt it would put unnecessary pressure on them. To install this, you will have to remove all but the last triangular supports. The last one (closest to the ear cups) is needed to properly position the adapter. Remove the supports, then place the rear of the adapter flush against the last support. There is a small gap between the side of the adapter and the side of the slot in the mount. I did that on purpose to give some space for adhesive. It should be tight enough along the top and bottom surfaces to hold it in place. There are two sets of adapters. One is if you want to use the factory headstrap and the other is for use without the factory headstrap. The adapters for use without the strap is longer than the ones for use with the straps to provide more support along the arms. I'll clean up the OpenSCAD files and post them eventually. The photos are out of order. I tried to fix it, but Thingiverse won't reflect my attempts to change it.
