BONKA

BONKA

thingiverse

The Bonka is a result of a 2.5 week long course called "Digital Fabrication". My goal was it to create a piggy bank, which is neither childish nor for adults only. A simple and calm object, which is decorative and makes fun to save money. It was important to me that the piggy bank is resealable, stable and easy to manage. The result works with an elastic band, which connects the nose and the bottom through the can. In this way you can open it easily. Neither it will open itself nor you will lose a part of it. The part with the ears has exactly the diameter of a usual can what guarantees that it doesn't fall away. Instructions The Bonka is produced with a CNC-machine. You take the .dxf file, define the depths and shape it. Afterwards you clean and cut smooth the parts. Nearly finished! Now you get yourself a can, open both sides, use an elastic band to keep the nose and bottom together, make a knot at the end (what is the pig's tail) and you are finished. Enjoy saving your money!
