Bookbinding Awl Guide/Punching Cradle with storage draw for paper/card spacers or small tools. Punching cradle is 230mm long (big enough for A5 books) with a 3mm valley. Awl Guide Body is designed to print standing vertically on the small flat end with the draw opening facing up. Awl Guide Draw prints flat. No supports required anywhere. Draw handle is designed with a 45 degree angle to print without supports. Draw has 0.5mm clearance offset to the body. Draw may need some light cleanup for elephants foot where the base contacts the bed, but should slide nicely into the body. I haven't included a 3d printed punching spacer as the person I made this for uses paper/card templates for different spacing. If there is enough interest, I can make one to desired dimensions. Print time was approx 30 hours because I used a higher infill, could probably get away with 5. There is an internal triangular void that follows the contour of the V to save filament and time and the walls of the V are 5mm thick. Included the .step file in case anyone wants to modify it to suit their purposes. Excuse any Fusion 360 errors, I'm at day 15 of a 30 day tutorial series :D
