Boom Pole Hook For Hydrophone Cable

Boom Pole Hook For Hydrophone Cable

thingiverse

This is a cable hook that I designed so I could use my Nanopole-style stand as a "fish pole" for a hydrophone (underwater microphone). The goal was to create a small ring that I could affix to the 1/4" tripod bolt on my pole, allowing the hydrophone cable to pass through and lower down into the water. It is split like a key ring, so I can push the audio cable through it without disconnecting the cable. It should accommodate typical cables up to about 6mm dia . The OpenSCAD design file is included so you can remix accordingly. You will need a 1/4"-20 nut to slide into the included pocket.
