<p>For those who may be using Rhino and possibly Grasshopper for modeling, here is a boomerang that is made in Rhino and Grasshopper.</p><p>Design-wise, it is pretty similar to my <a href="https://www.printables.com/model/76642-yav-yet-another-vee-boomerang">Yet Another Vee</a> design. In terms of construction, it is basically the same as my attempt in <a href="https://www.printables.com/model/101912-omega-boomerang-in-blender-and-sverchok">Sverchok</a>.</p><h3>How I Designed This</h3><p>Have a look at the Grasshopper document to see how this was done. The basic idea is as follows:</p><ul><li>The boomerang is defined by its outline and a top outline that defines the shape of the top side and thus the airfoil.</li><li>These two outlines are placed on top of each other along the Z axis.</li><li>A loft is created over these outlines.</li><li>The top face of the loft is filleted to create a rounded leading edge.</li></ul><p>The most difficult part turned out to be figuring out which is the top face, selecting the outline of that face as an edge, and fillet that particular edge.</p>
