Booster stage for Estes Alpha III Model Rocket

A booster stage for the classic Alpha III model rocket by Estes. First part is the adapter to fit over the bottom of the Alpha III body tube. You may need to alter the larger slot in this design depending on the angle between the fins and the motor retaining bracket on your Alpha III. I designed it for mine – if you haven't glued your motor mount into the Alpha III yet you can print this first and use it to align the engine mount. Slide it onto your Alpha III. It should stay put with friction but pull off easily so it can be ejected. Print the launch lug in Vase mode (spiralise outer contour in Cura) and glue it alongside one of the ribs of the adapter. You won't be able to use the Alpha III's launch lug because it'll be obstructed by the larger diameter of the adapter. Print the fin can and slide it over the engine mount on the adapter, then glue it in place. Friction fit a booster motor in the engine mount, follow all safety rules and launch it. As yet untested but I'll post in a couple of weeks when I've flown it. :) I'm curious if it'll survive the heat for a second flight.
