After trying the original models from Baymaxums (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2133068) I found the puzzle piece connectors were very tight with almost no tolerance between the pieces. I simply cut about 0.5mm out of the socket sides of the models. The pieces now fit snugly, but easily together in PLA, in ABS with a little bit more shrinkage the joints are a little looser, but still perfectly fine for the purpose. I played about with infil settings to try and give it a more watery look since I was using transparent filament, the one in the photos is Archimedean Chords in Slic3r I also couldn't get the interlocking pieces to work on the original files (the border is made for this set of hex tiles https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2035221) so for my models I simple sliced 2.25mm off the bottom of each tile, everything is a little thinner, but still works really well. The files you're downloading here still have the interlocking component. The photos don't.
