Model 3D of a 4-hectare pine forest affected by a processionary moth infestation in the north of Solsonès in autumn 2017. The climate change has altered the distribution of this insect, which feeds on pines and reaches up to 1,500 meters above sea level in this model, where it was previously absent due to cold temperatures. Forest Alert aims to study the health status of forests and understand how they will be in the future, as our climate is one of the most changing.
