Helps to verify pixel strips are of uniform length and spacing before pushing any pixels. Build a jig using cheap 1x2's that are a little longer than the required pixel strip length. Mortise overlapping ends when joining 2 or more 1x2's so that the surface is flat. It's recommended to print 4-5 alignment tools for a typical length strip. (One for each end and a couple for the middle) Determine the length of pixel strip needed and cut. Position one strip alignment tool on one end of the 1x2 and secure with #6 screws. Insert the pixel strip into that end and place another alignment tool onto the opposite end and apply gentle tension. Mark the position and secure the opposite end alignment tool with #6 screws. Place other alignment tools in the middle of the strip and secure. You want the strip to lay flat under gentle tension at all alignment tool locations. If a pixel strip has even spacing all holes should align when placing a pixel strip onto the jig. Be sure to rotate the strip 180 degrees and verify alignment in the opposite direction as well.
