When a phone is docked there is a large gap between the speaker body and the phone which causes additional stress on the lightning port and could cause it to break. This is especially bad with larger phones. I created this model to act as a spacer between the speaker body and the back of the phone so it can sit vertically. The mesh grid was added to both reduce the amount of material needed and prevent the support from blocking too much sound from the speaker.
