First, I want to express my sincerest apologies to those magnificent trees they deserved so much better than this. Truthfully, carpentry has never been my strong suit. Over at I Heart Engineering, we've been busily scaling up production of some of our products over on our website http://store.iheartengineering.com/I-Heart-Engineering-Tripod-Adapter/dp/B004ET5VLG using MakerBot ToM #5667 "The Future". However, the ABS fumes can be somewhat overwhelming and not everyone enjoys listening to those stepper motors all day long, so we came up with this box-like structure. Another advantage of this design is that it reduces drafts significantly and helps ensure that large parts turn out perfectly flat. Furthermore, one nice feature is that once the door is opened, it stays open, and the door also closes nicely on its own. The primary drawback of our current design is that you can't remove the printer without unscrewing a side panel.
