Hanging repurposed bottles for the window farm project can be challenging. If your chain or rope or zip-ties are not perfectly 180 degrees apart, your bottle will hang crooked. The bottle hammock is a 4th generation idea for hanging repurposed bottles. The simple design helps ensure that your hanging string is 180 degrees apart. The two ring system supports the bottom of the upside down bottle on the neck and balances anywhere in the middle. Instructions Measure your bottle and print one set. Adjust the SCAD file if necessary. The 2.5 inch set is for evian and nestle bottles. The 3 inch set can be used for ice mountain and larger bottles. The part with the groove on half is the support ring, this goes on the neck of the overturned bottle. The part with the holes is the balance ring, this goes higher up on the bottle to keep it from tipping over. You can support this ring with two zip-ties on the bottle so it doesn't slide down. Tension from the strings that hang it keep it in place fairly well without zip ties. Place the support ring on the bottom of a loop of string. Place the neck of the bottle in the support ring. Slide the balance ring over the top of the bottle. Place the string into the side holes of the balance ring. Clip your hair hose into the air hose holder. Hang the string above a window.
