DISCLAIMER: This is a preliminary design subject to revision as I test and refine it over the next few days. Some of these files may undergo changes as I work on perfecting the design. Feel free to use and adjust them at your own risk. I'm currently working on an enclosure for my Anet A8 and switching to a bowden extruder with a J-Head. I also want to include a filament runout sensor in the setup. To minimize the number of parts needed, I've been looking at designs that utilize the existing A8 extruder motor parts. I've also examined various filament runout sensor designs, trying to figure out how to mount them on my new setup. It occurred to me that integrating the two might be a great idea, so I started searching for something similar on Thingiverse. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any merged designs that combined both features. This design is an attempt at creating a bowden extruder motor mount with an integrated filament runout sensor for use with OctoPrint. Although it's still untested, the concept seems solid and worth exploring further.
