This thing makes it possible to extrude liquids and gels with no heavy parts on the carriage of your machine. It features a 10ml syringe that feeds the moving end via a 3/2mm tube. On the moving end is a standard luer connector, so you can connect different types of nozzles. Instructions Cut out the frame parts with a lasercutter from 4mm plywood. You might need to adjust the offset to compensate for the width of the laser kerf. Print out the printed parts. Cut 2 8mm shafts to size and cut& drill the trapezium screw. The screw is glued directly to the motor axle, so I drilled this hole on the lathe. Assemble the wooden case but leave off the side where the syringe slots in. You probably need to put the motor screws in the other sides before assembling, which means you also need to put the thumb wheel in there... (yes a next version should be easier to assemble). Once you are ready for it, put enough (but not too much) epoxy glue on the mating surfaces from the thumbwheel with the screw and the motor axis, and glue the three together. Insert the 'trapezium nut' first, then slide the 8mm shafts in their slots, fixing the nut between them. For connecting the tube to the syringe or tip, I cheated and used what I had on hand: a cut off tip with luer lock (and some sugru) connects the tube to the syringe, the tip on the end has this same tube jammed into it. Once I get ahold of some proper luer lock tubing I'll update the parts. :) This part mounts on thing...
