I really like the Profoto light modifiers but I didn't want to spend another $4k for two additional B1x's to complete my 3 point lighting setup. I have one B1X for key lighting which I love. I found a couple old Studio Pro strobes laying around that I never really used or liked too much, but I think will suffice for hair and fill. I decided to try to make one that's printable because just their OCF speedring is already $100. I didn't think about it at the time, but I made mine in blue PLA. I should have probably gone with a black or a white, so it won't change the color temperature of the flash. I haven't tried it yet to see though. I used 3 walls with a .4 nozzle. You do not need support for the half oval holes but you should support the 3 tabs for the Bowens mount. For a future revision, I need to make it so it can swivel in the middle. For example if you put in a strip light, it might be nice to be able to control the angle of it and to be able to lock it in place.
