Box Button
thingiverse
I've been faced with numerous situations where I needed a reliable way to keep corregated box lids securely closed without resorting to tape. That's when I conceived the idea of creating a "Box Button," an ingenious device that attaches to the lid and enables users to easily hold it shut using a rubber band or string. The Box Button is crafted from ABS material with 100% fill, ensuring its durability and effectiveness. To install this innovative solution, simply use a small Phillips screwdriver to punch a hole through the box, insert the button, and then leverage a nut driver to push against the retaining washer from the opposite side. Be cautious not to cut too close to the retainer when trimming the tip of the rubber band. I discovered that a #32 rubber band provides an ideal fit for the "triangular" lid closure.
