Box Car for the OS Railway

This is an addon for the Freight Train Chassis by @Depronised. Please note this is for the "short" 195mm version. The chassis and the bogies are available from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2152351 ***OS railway is a great project and many thanks to @Depronised for a lot of hard work.*** I decided to try a design where the vertical sides and ends are printed flat on the bed then assembled with screws or glue. I used screws because I was prototyping and could assemble / disassemble as needed. Glue would save cost. ###Fixings List# >**20 of M2 x 4** Button Head Screws for the sides and ends. >**12 of M2 x 5** Screws for the roof assembly. >**2 of M3 x 10-12** Cap Head Screws for the roof to bracket assembly. >**CA Glue** >Please refer to the Freight Train Chassis instructions for further fixings as required. ###Instructions# After completing the chassis and bogies from the above link:- - Print the bracket and mount that using 4 x M2 x 8-10 screws. 0.2 resolution, no supports, no rafts, 20% infill. - Print the sides and ends and screw (or glue) to the bracket using 20 x M2 x 4 screws. (I used a 2mm drill on just the sides - not the bracket - to make assembly easier). NOTE the sides have cut-outs to span the lower door rails on the bracket, ensure these are correctly located. 0.15 resolution, no supports, 100% infill. - Print the roof sections vertical with a brim (see picture). 0.15 resolution, no supports, enable bridging perimeters, 15% Infill, brim. - Print the roof joiners (2x) and assemble the roof sections using 6 x M2 x 5-6mm screws. (or glue) 0.2 resolution, 20% infill. - Position the roof onto the bracket, checking the sides and ends locate correctly, then secure with 2 x M3 x 10mm screws. - Print the Doors and insert a door into the lower guide located on the bracket. 0.15 resolution, 100% infill. - Print the Top Rails and use CA glue to fix to the underside of the roof, ensure the door is free to slide. 0.15 resolution, 100% infill - Repeat for the second door. - Print and Insert the cowels on the roof to cover the M3 Screws. 0.15 resolution, 20% infill I have only printed the prototype shown and made a few adjustments that I have not tried. Hope someone will give it a go. *Edit 16-04-21 - Printed the sides in blue, not sure about the yellow.*
