Box

Box

thingiverse

A robust box with an easy-gliding lid is presented here. The instructions clarify that no support is required during printing, especially in the box lid tracks where angles exceed 45 degrees. Measuring 6.5 x 3.5 x 1.5 inches, this box can be scaled as per your needs. For more specifics, refer to the instructions. A video demonstration of the process is also provided within the attached files. The printed box picture, however, displays an older version of the lid, which now features rounded corners for a perfect fit. In the initial print, sliding the lid into the track was slightly challenging due to sharp edges, but this issue has been resolved in the revised design. If you plan on using the box vertically, it's advised to drill 3mm holes for neodymium magnets in both the base and lid (as shown in the video). Purchase these magnets from Amazon for $5, getting 50 pieces of 3mm x 1mm round neodymium magnet. However, be cautious while drilling, as you might need to use superglue if you make a larger hole. Additionally, perform an acetone bath on the base to avoid discoloration due to white ABS residue.
