Every time I move my computer, I'm annoyed by things that must be moved with it but that can't be let fixed to tower (Wi-Fi antennas, by example, can easily grip something and be damaged or damage something inside or outside the computer). My solution: a box to put this things into. The box it-self fit into a 5¼ disc bay with a door that doesn't protrude of the computer case when it's closed. Versions: Existing case versions: A short one (5cm shorter than the standard ; in black on the photographies) for a PC case in witch the mother-board takes a large space and impinges on the space of the 5¼ disc unit. The 5¼ bay covers does not fit in this version. A standard one (in white on the photography ; damaged when I try to remove it from the build plate) that will fit in most PC case and permit the storage of the 5¼ bay covers. A L shaped (in black on the photographies) version that will have the advantages of two firsts. A long one that will be 5cm longer than the standard one (done but totally untested). Planned case versions: A long L shaped version (but I'm not sure that's really usefull). A double bay version (that I can't print due to my printer limitations. Existing door versions: The standard one with an handle inside. A simplified one that should not be used as is (no way to open after closing) to ease the conception of derivative. Other hardware: To fix it into PC case: M3 nuts: 2 to 8ex. M3 screw: 2 to 8ex. I use 12 mm long because I do not have shorter ones. To fix the door: 2.5mm² wire: I use stripped coper electrical cable. Design choices: The upper part of the front surrounding have been removed to permit to the door to be open opened more widely, well above the case, and so ease the access to the box content. The door handle is design as an hole and not as a knob (that could be made almost without support) to avoid it being gripped and broken or opened accidentally during transportation.
